Hertz Joins Porsche Motorsport As New Partner In North America

Earlier today Porsche announced that Hertz Corporation has joined the growing roster of partners to Porsche Motorsport North America. The Hertz branding will join the “Porsche Intelligent Performance” theme as part of the livery this weekend at Sebring that includes, Michelin, Addidas, Chopard and ZF.

Jens Walther, president/CEO, Porsche Motorsport North America had this to say about the relationship,

“We are always careful when we look to add new relationships to our current world-class Porsche Motorsport partners. It is imperative they bring with them the equal levels of enthusiasm and passion for excellence, and with Hertz joining our international partners of Adidas, Chopard, Michelin, Mobil 1 and ZF, we have added another like-minded partner that does not waiver in its pursuit of exceptional service and high standards. We at Porsche Motorsport North America are proud to be working with these premier brands and look forward to maximizing these partnerships in the months and years ahead.”

As frequent readers of FLATSIXES.com will know, the partnership exists beyond the track and includes the ability to rent various Porsche models at select Hertz locations.

  • All I can say is PLEASE do NOT let Hertz make a "Hertz" Porsche model like they did with the Ford Mustangs. Everytime I see one, I get sick! Can you say UGLY! I would not pay my hard earned money to buy a car that "advertises" Hertz on it!

    • The original "hertz" mustang wasn't that bad. The badging was subtle with only the colors (more orange than yellow at the time) and the "H" to designate the model. It's the newer one they did with Penske that really didn't look so good.
