Have you purchased brake fluid from your Porsche dealer lately? If so, read on.

Kudos to Porsche for being thorough and accountable, right down to the finest details. While Porsche has had some recalls lately, they’ve stemmed from an overabundance of caution on non-vital issues. This most recent recall affects brake fluid sold by Porsche dealers. A batch of fluid produced between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2016 was found to be labeled incorrectly for its true specification. The affected part numbers are as follows:

  • 00004330552 – 1L bottles
  • 00004330553 – 30L bottles

This issue mostly affects dealers, though if you’ve had a system flush or refill at your local dealer recently it may be worthwhile to ensure that your vehicle received the correct fluid. Details of the recall can be found here.
