Cross Country in a GT3: 9 Day-4856.6 miles-2 countries-19 US States-211 gallons of fuel-1 speeding ticket

What started as an idea quickly turned to reality when artist Nic Hunziker located a donor GT3 for his “Art Car” project. Over the last 9 days Nic, along with co-pilot and FLATSIXES.com contributor Brett Sloan, drove the newly acquired 996 GT3 from Nova Scotia back to L.A. Along the way they covered:

  • 9 Days
  • 4856.6 Miles
  • 2 Countries
  • 19 US States
  • Consumed 211 gallons of premium fuel
  • Averaged 23 MPG
  • Managed to get through it all with just 1 speeding ticket

If you’ve been following along you know that Nic and Brett documented the trip on Nic’s blog and here on FLATSIXES.com. If you want to get caught up before looking through the images from the final leg of the journey, here are links to the earliers posts:

Day 9 – The final leg of the trip: Sedona, AZ to the Hunziker Studio in Torrance, CA

Leaving Sedona, keep on trucking!

We’re definitely still in the desert.

New metal meets old metal.

I’m pretty sure the bearings are shot.

914 baking in the desert. Look at the upside: There’s probably little rust.

Energy bars don’t count as fruit, right?

Quick visit with Chad McQueen in Palm Desert.

Can’t leave without a brief blast up Hwy 74.

Never leave your dirty GT3 behind, always take it with you.

It’s not Mission E… just emissions.

Home!

9 days. 4856.6 miles. 2 countries. 19 US States. 211 gallons of premium fuel. 23 MPG. 1 speeding ticket.
