Earlier today Porsche uploaded a new video to YouTube featuring 7 generations of the 911 using their engine sounds to sing happy birthday to each other. Buried within the description was a link to an online game and microsite called “Birthday Roar”.
From what we can tell there are 2 modes: Arcade Mode and Free Play (free play wasn’t running at the time we posted this). The Arcade Mode has 7 levels (one for each generation of the 911) and you’ll need to finish the first (1963 – 1973) to unlock the next and so on.
The idea is to use your number keys, 1 through 7, to play the corresponding note from each Porsche’s engine. Do it in the proper order and you’ll play a new song and score points.
As expected there’s a way to rank yourself and compare your score to others. Right now the leader has more than 150,000 points and apparently way too much free time. Seriously, give the game a shot and see if you can hit the right notes.
