Earlier today Porsche uploaded a video of the new Porsche Boxster labeled “Escape”. Somewhere I remember reading that it was their new TV spot, but now I can’t find where I saw that and it’s not labeled as such on YouTube. Anyway, while I find the spot well done, it seems unfinished. See the video below or directly on our site to judge for yourself.
You may remember that last month we spent two days in Birmingham at Barber Motorsport Park with Hurley Haywood and Dhani Jones during the final leg of the Spirited Escape road trip with the new Boxster. At the time, we were under the impression that some of footage captured over two days of filming would find its way into a new commercial for the Boxster. In fact, Porsche even went so far to give PorschePurist some exclusive footage that would be used in an upcoming Porsche Boxster commercial (that’s it in the video below)
None of this footage, or anything filmed during our trip to Barber, shows up in today’s new video. This leads us to believe that there is more to come and perhaps something longer and a bit more detailed. While today’s video does a great job of highlighting the idea of the Boxster as a means to “escape”, I find myself wanting more. Here’s hoping we get more footage from that incredible trip in the near future.
