Rod Emory and Emory Motrsports have been doing their thing for 3 generations out in California. What started with his grandfather as Valley Custom Shop in Burbank California into a Porsche parts shop by Rod’s dad. Today, nearly 25 years, the term “Outlaw” Porsche (coined to describe the Emory builds) is a movement in its own right and Rod’s Emory Motorsports is the definitive leader in that space (check out our interview with Rod for a more in-depth look at the history of Emory Motorsport).
While I don’t know if it’s deliberate or not, but Rod’s been much more visible as of late. From network TV to social media, Rod seems to be everywhere and to me that’s a great thing.
