Did you see Jerry Seinfeld on Jay Leno’s Garage earlier this week? Don’t worry if you missed it, it will be available on demand and on Jay’s Youtube channel soon enough. Meanwhile, small clips of the show are starting to surface and this was one of the better ones. Featured is Jerry’s unrestored 1958 Porsche 356 A Speedster. As he and Jay go for a cruise through the California hills Jerry explains what originally drew him to the Porsche Marque in the first place and how he bought his first Porsche because he “thought it was pretty“. Jerry goes on to say, “I thought it was a great design and interesting looking shape. If I could only have one car it would be a Speedster.” Asked why he went “all-in Porsche” by Jay, Jerry answers, “minimalism, this little car is the essence of sports car perfection to me. There are no stupid lines on a Porsche that don’t make sense that are there for no reason.” I think Jerry speaks for a lot of us.
