Luftgekühlt 7 Has Been Postponed Until November

With a global viral threat continuing its rampage across the human population, it is in the best interest of everyone that we all hunker down and stay home in order to keep ourselves and others safe. While Luft 7 was originally scheduled for May 31st, it is increasingly becoming clear that this coronavirus pandemic will not be remotely close to cleared up by then, and the event can’t happen as originally scheduled. The Luft team has consulted with health authorities and the city of Durham, NC and ultimately decided to postpone the event until November of 2020.

According to an email sent on Thursday morning, the event will still happen as planned with the same venue and the same format, but on a different date.

Coronavirus has quickly turned 2020 into the year that didn’t happen, as many of us are left wondering when we can return to normal. The best thing we can do is stay safe and keep the faith that someday and somehow the medical community will solve the problem and find the cure. With the lengthy approval process for vaccines, that may not happen for many months. There is no telling whether this will be cleared up by November, but we can hope.

If you haven’t already, sign up for the Luftgekühlt mailing list for ticket and venue information as it becomes available. Or follow them on their social channels.
