We Still Can’t Get Enough Of Bisimoto’s Electric Porsche 935

The future is electric. Porsche agrees that its own future is electric, and we absolutely loved the new Taycan. But Porsche and Porsche fans should not forget about the company’s history. It’s time to meld the past with the future. Bisimoto managed to do that in this track-ready EV 935-replica. Speed kicks ass, whether it’s powered by gasoline or electrons.

The Porsche 935 was a force to be reckoned with, as Bisi says in the video below. And as we know, electric motors also have a ton of force, whether or not you want to recon with it or not. Combine the incredible Porsche 911 chassis with the great Kremer K3 bodywork and a big electric Tesla-based electric motor setup from EV West. How much would it cost to build a Porsche flat six with 630 horsepower? Likely far more than the Tesla-based option would cost to swap in.

If you still think electric cars are soulless, you are calling yourself out as someone who has not driven one. In addition to the best that Tesla has to offer, Porsche’s own EVs are PACKED to the gills with soul. This electric Bisimoto 935 looks to have as much soul as any 935, and would require a great deal of attention from its driver.

It sounds like Bisimoto is going to be introducing this electric package for its Porsche customers, though maybe not with the 935 bodywork. There’s no mention of how much this thing might cost to replicate, but while it probably wouldn’t be cheap, it’s for sure less than the millions you might spend for a real deal raced-in-period 935, and probably produces a faster lap time, too.

What do you say? Are you all-in on the electric future yet, or do you still need some convincing? While I haven’t driven Bisi’s version of the future yet, I know that I’d absolutely love the experience.

Porsche, when are we getting an electric 911 from the factory?

  • Yep, excited about the electric motor in place of a twin turbo, fire breathing flat six. Porsche went electric because they had to after VW effed the whole thing up with their diesel gate. how many laps at LeMans does the electric 935 do? It has torque, like a diesel electric locomotive. Who will raise the hood years from now on one of these and see the same electric motor everyone has and say oh boy? As for the cost, Tesla and EV West aren't cheap with lesser range. If this is a threat saying you better like EV or else, I will just go sail my boat, the original carbon beater.

  • Smart guy Bisi, but he has not converted me, if you had the money you would buy the 935 with the flat six.
I have driven electric cars and yes they are powerful and great around town, but to me are boring, they are just a transport vessel. Nothing compares like a petrol engine which is alive, turbo or non turbo that has the same Horsepower and Torque to a electric motor in a car, even if the electric motors Torque is from go.
Put it to Bisi to put his creation up to a real 935 Kremer on the track for half a hour no stop and see how they compare it would be a interesting comparison.
No transport is carbon neutral unless you are walking.
