This Saturday, August 9th, visitors to the Petersen Automotive Museum have to opportunity to meet America’s most decorated endurance driver (Hurley Haywood), get his autograph, listen as he talks through details of his career and view the Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1 race car all at the same time. It’s the superfecta of the Porsche racing world.
Hurley has won multiple events, including five overall victories at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, three at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and two at the 12 Hours of Sebring. He is credited with the 1988 Trans-Am title, two IMSA GT Championship titles and 23 wins, three Norelco Cup championships, a SuperCar title and 18 IndyCar starts.
When And Where
At 11:00 a.m. on this Saturday the 9th, Hurley will sit down for an interview with MotoMan Studio. As a paid visitor to the museum you can take part in the interview at no extra charge including an autograph session afterwards. However, an RSVP is required. Just prior to the event, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., is a free Porsche cruise-in open on the 4th floor of the Petersen Automotive Museum parking structure. No RSVP is required and the cruise-in is open to the public. Enjoy!
