In late July, the Velocity Channel’s “Overhaulin” featured their first even Porsche build. Chip Foose put his regular signature on the design and enlisted the help of 356 specialist Rod Emory to help with the build. Many of you who watched were disappointed with the limited details they showed about the Porsche after the reveal and let us know about it. Lucky for you, we found the two videos below. While they appear to be outtakes vs. finished videos, they do give us a slightly better look at the 356. The first is a rough cut of a walk around. While it still focuses too much on the host vs. the car, we do see more of it. The second claims to be a “drive”. However, because it’s an outtake, we get to see more of the interior vs. anything else.
Sorry about the commercials at the beginning of the videos. Unfortunately, we can only embed them directly from the Velocity site and they force you to watch them prior to the videos.

Not sure I "get" the VW rear window idea, especially for all the effort (and $$) required, but to each his own.
Chuck, did you watch the episode when it aired, or just these two clips? It definitely wasn't what I was expecting. Then again, while I like the show, I couldn't figure out how Foose's designs would ever translate to anything other than American muscle.
Just these two clips. I agree about Foose's design philosophy.
I am disappointed with the fact that he customized rather than restored this car. Chip does great work but...
Important, Dennis, if you did not watch the complete episode, the car was in really bad shape, and Foose made a important coment about the he was happy about the the bad shape because he will not sacrifice a restorable car to make the modifications. "He was not feeling guilty " in his own words.
That's the main problem with Overhauling and every other one of these types of shows on Velocity, too much drama. The best show by far was Rides, followed closely by Chasing Classic Cars. Overhauling has gotten better these last couple of years, but there needs to be more focus on the cars!
Alberto, I saw the entire episode. A 356, even in bad shape, can be restored and if done properly, retains collector car status and value. The VW rear window ruined a good portion of what collector value it bad. It was a useless mod.
I can't stand this show.
Some real cringe worthy mods on this Porsche. Just because it was in rough shape doesn't mean you should mess with its original design. This is just a higher end "pimp my ride" foose should retire asap.
Hate it.
No one else noticed th he wheels change from shot to shot? The Rader style wheels vs the rich style that ended up on it? Weird
