Porsche Cars North America Sales by Model: April 2018

April 2018 was officially the best month of sales in history for Porsche Cars North America (PCNA). Strong sales of 718 models, as well as a huge jump in Macan deliveries contributed to this growth. All-in-all, PCNA sold 15 units more than their previous record set last November (5,555). While Cayenne, Panamera, and 911 sales were all slightly down on April 2017’s numbers, Porsche delivered more than 550 additional Macan units last month than the April of the year previous, making up the difference and over 40% of total sales. The grand total of 5,570 units sold in April marks a 0.7% growth over last April, which is made all the more impressive as April 2017 was a record month for PCNA as well.

Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of PCNA, “The Porsche mix of two and four-door sports cars is getting a broad welcome from customers. We see this in the strong April demand that crosses model lines. Our 189 dealers are continually improving the customer experience, and this certainly is an essential factor for our mutual success.”

718 Cayman sales improved a massive 67% year-on-year, and Macan sales increased 32.5% in the same period. Panamera sales remain quite strong, and Cayenne sales have dipped a bit as production is still ramping up on the new generation of Porsche SUV. As the new Cayenne comes on full song, expect to see more record sales months this year.

Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned sales in the U.S. totalled 1,807 vehicles, up 11.9% year-over-year.
