The cold of Sweden is a perfect place to cold weather test a car, but it might not be the best place to avoid the keen eyes of a spy photographer. What your looking at here is an early prototype of the 992.2 generation of the 911.

This Turbo model shares the same rear end of the 992 generation, but there are big changes up front. There’s a new front skirt and redesigned front air intakes and new daytime running lights. It’s nott clear if the auxiliary lights will stay, but probably not. We’re not sure what is under the bonnet, but it’s unlike the hybrid variant that we are expecting.

We are expecting a hybrid, of course, utilizing a 400-volt electrical system. That differs from the Taycan, but that’s OK because the 911 hybrid won’t need to charge at a high rate of speed because it’ll have a relatively small battery. The hybrid version will have the same dual-clutch PDK from the Panamera.

It looks good frolicking out in the snow, and we can’t wait to see how it develops.
