We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for almost two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. In all that time, we’ve published these every other week. Well, enough of you have spoken up that we’re going to try a weekly format, with two of us picking selections, so check back often. This week, we’ve assembled five more Porsches for you to peruse, including two interesting clones from different generations, a 996 Turbo Cab in a color other than silver, an impossibly low mileage 914 and a Boxster Spyder that could be a bargain. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.
1. 1984/1973 Porsche 911 RS Look Backdate For Sale
When backdating is done well, it can turn an “ordinary” Porsche into something special. This car started life as a 1984 911 and through the use of metal metal hood and fenders, ducktail and bumpers in fiberglass and a number of other refits, we end up with a well sorted and eye-pleasing ’73 RS clone. Check out the listing for more pictures and a complete list of upgrades and improvements.

2. 2012 Porsche 911/2016 991 GT3 RS Clone For Sale
And now for a more modern clone. Advertised as a 2016 GT3 RS but can’t afford the real thing, or for the collector who thinks pricing will continue to the moon and wants to keep theirs original, this is a clone I can get behind aesthetically, but not so much performance wise. Based on a 2012 991 Carrera Coupe, the seller explains in detail how the body molds were made from original GT3 RS parts, but there’s no real talk about performance improvements. So, for a little less money, I would consider this and then immediately get to work adding horsepower and braking.

3. 1974 Porsche 1.8 Porsche 914 With Impossibly Low Mileage For Sale
Want to enter the Porsche collector market, but don’t have the bank to purchase a low mileage 993 Turbo? How about an impossibly low mileage 914? Site sponsor Michael Willhoit has this ’74 one owner 1.8 liter with only 13,500 miles. It’s an absolutely stunning time capsule.

4. 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder For Sale
If you doubt the popularity of PDK, just look at the number of used Boxster Spyders you’ll find equipped with Porsche’s double clutch transmission. Even though this was a car built for the purist, for those that wanted for row their own gears, many ordered them with PDK. A great many. To me, it’s a negotiating point. If you have an extra spot in your garage, and you do need a garage with this first generation top, then this could be an interesting addition if you are a strong negotiator. Between mileage and PDK, I would want to pay in the high 30’s for this particular Spyder. The question is, would they want to sell it at that price?

5. Not Silver 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo For Sale
It’s so nice to see a 996 Turbo in any color other than silver I can almost over look the lack of contrasting Cashmere interior on this Lapis Blue example. With 70,000 miles on the clock this 996 turbo is no spring chicken. However, depending on the results of a PPI and service history, I wouldn’t shy away from it. Many would say it’s just getting broken in at 70k miles. The Lapis Blue exterior, with optional matching hard top, make this a really nice pick in my opinion.
