Believe it or not, you can. With the 991 engines now featuring forced induction engines it’s a much closer comparison then you would think. I know, they’re generations apart in terms of size, design and technology, but from a straight performance specification standpoint, the two Porsches are almost identical. But how do the two compare to each other?
It’s clear from watching the video below that the 996 provides more driver feeback than the modern C4S, but that comes at a price: a stiffer ride, a louder exhaust, etc. These aren’t bad things, in-fact, many would say they are what’s lacking from today’s modern 911s, but they are worth pointing out.
