Round Two of the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup North America unfolded at the Miami International Autodrome, May 3-4, with two competitive races that delivered five different class winners. Leading the pack across both days was Yves Baltas of New York, who swept the overall and Pro class races in the No. 15 ACI Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, moving to second in the season standings.
Saturday’s opening race was marred by early incidents, including a first-lap collision that ended the day for Masters class points leader Scott Blind. After two full course cautions, Baltas capitalized on a mistake by polesitter Jimmy Llibre and contact between Llibre and Ryan Yardley to pull away and secure a dominant 6.398-second win—his second career Carrera Cup victory. Tyler Maxson and Michael De Quesada claimed their first career podiums in second and third, respectively. Riley Dickinson finished fourth after being penalized in qualifying.
In the Pro-Am class, veteran James Sofronas claimed his third win at a Formula 1 support event, while Todd Parriott took advantage of Blind’s retirement to win in the Masters class.
Sunday’s race ran caution-free, but drama persisted. Llibre crossed the finish line first but was penalized 10 seconds for repeated track limit violations, handing Baltas his second win of the weekend. Yardley and Zachary Vanier rounded out the overall podium, with Jeansonne and Dickinson finishing fourth and fifth. Angel Benitez earned the Pro-Am victory, and Blind rebounded from Saturday’s DNF to win the Masters class.
The event also marked a shift in the Entrant Standings, with Topp Racing overtaking Kellymoss for the top spot. Baltas’ performance came just after his inclusion in the Porsche EBOOST Junior Driver Program, where he was joined on the podium by fellow junior drivers Maxson and Vanier.
