Porsche is positioning the 2026 Cayenne Electric as the start of a new era, combining an all electric SUV format with some of the strongest numbers in the brand’s history. The lineup launches with two all wheel drive models, the Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric, both using electronic Porsche Traction Management. At the top, the Turbo develops up to 850 kW (1,139hp) and up to 1,106 lb-ft of torque with Launch Control, enabling a 0 to 60 mph time of 2.4 seconds, a quarter mile in 9.9 seconds, and a 162 mph top track speed. In normal driving, up to 630 kW (844 hp) is available, with a Push-to-Pass function adding up to 130 kW (173 hp) for 10 seconds. The standard Cayenne Electric is rated at 300 kW (402 hp) in normal operation and 325 kW (435 hp) and 615 lb-ft with Launch Control, with a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.5 seconds and a 143 mph top track speed.
Energy management is central to the package. The Cayenne Electric can recuperate up to 600 kW of power under braking, so about 97 percent of everyday braking can be handled by the electric motors alone, with the friction brakes only rarely required. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake is optional on the Turbo Electric. A new 113 kWh high voltage battery with double sided cooling sits at the core, using 800 volt technology to support DC fast charging at up to 400 kW. Under ideal conditions, state of charge can move from 10 to 80 percent in less than 16 minutes. The Cayenne Electric will be delivered with a J3400 (NACS) DC only fast charging port on the driver side rear fender, a J1772 AC only port on the passenger side rear fender, and a Porsche CCS DC Adapter as standard. It is also the first Porsche to optionally support inductive charging at up to 11 kW via Porsche Wireless Charging.

Chassis and aero updates are aimed at keeping the SUV versatile. Both models receive adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management, while the Turbo adds Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus with an electronically controlled limited slip rear differential. Rear axle steering that turns the rear wheels by up to five degrees is available for both. Porsche Active Ride is offered on the flagship model to minimize body movements and improve stability, dynamics, and comfort. With a drag coefficient of 0.25 and the Porsche Active Aerodynamics system, the Cayenne Electric uses movable cooling air flaps, an adaptive roof spoiler, and active aero blades at the rear of the Turbo Electric to balance downforce, range, and efficiency.
The body is 196.3 inches long, 78.0 inches wide, and 65.9 inches high, with a 119.0 inch wheelbase that is almost five inches longer than the combustion model. That translates into more rear legroom and electrically adjustable rear seats with positions ranging from comfort to cargo. Luggage space ranges from 19.5 to 56.1 cubic feet, plus a 3.2 cubic foot front luggage compartment, and properly equipped models can tow up to 3.5 tons (7,716 lbs.). An optional Off-Road Design package revises the lower front fascia to improve approach angles on rough roads and steep terrain.

Inside, Porsche adds new comfort and customization layers. Mood Modes adjust seating position, lighting, climate, sound, and display appearance, while a panoramic sunroof with Variable Light Control uses an electrically switchable liquid crystal foil to change the roof from clear to different opacity levels. New interior surface heating warms not only the seats but also armrests and door panels, and extended ambient lighting includes a communication light that can welcome occupants and visualize vehicle states such as charging. Customers can choose from 13 standard exterior colors, nine wheel designs from 20 to 22 inches, 12 interior combinations, and multiple interior and accent packages, with further options through Paint to Sample and the Sonderwunsch program. Porsche Design will also offer custom built timepieces tailored to the SUV range.
Digital interfaces receive an overhaul with the Porsche Driver Experience. At its center is the Flow Display, a curved OLED panel that blends into the center console and separates display and control areas. It is paired with a fully digital 14.25 inch instrument cluster, an optional 14.9 inch passenger display, and a head up display with augmented reality that appears as an 87 inch image at a distance of 10 meters. Frequently used functions such as climate control and audio volume retain physical buttons, and a hand rest called the Ferry Pad is designed to support interaction with both digital and analog controls. The new Porsche Digital Interaction philosophy adds widgets for quick access to functions, a Themes app to align color schemes across displays, and support for third party apps via the Porsche App Center, including streaming and gaming. A new Voice Pilot with artificial intelligence is designed to understand complex, contextual commands, while Porsche Digital Key turns smartphones and smartwatches into keys that can be shared with up to seven additional users.
