We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for over two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. This week’s mix has air-cooled turbos and normally aspirated 911s, an older Cayenne that’s worth a second look, a “collector” 928 and driver 944 Cabriolet with one of the better prices we’ve seen. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1988 Porsche 928 S4 For Sale
They say a rising tide lifts all boats and such is the case with pricing for the 928. While this particular 928 appears to be in near flawless condition with low “collector” type miles on it, this same Porsche could have been had for less 1/2 the price just a couple of years ago. Now, as the frenzy in the air-cooled market has spilled over to the rest of the Porsche market we’re seeing all models with substantial appreciation in asking and selling prices. The seller describes this particular 928 as “flawless” and we have to agree it looks that way in the large number of pictures. Is it worth the asking price? That’s up to you to decide. Right now there are are nearly 30 people “watching” this auction to see how it turns out. We’re one of them.

2. 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo For Sale
I’m a big fan of the first generation Cayennes and love the fact that a Porsche with a MSRP of nearly $100k can now be had for just about 10% of the original price. Sure, this particular Cayenne Turbo has 100k on the clock, but that’s nothing for these engines. Assuming they’ve been properly maintained, have had the necessary routine maintenance and performance upgrades (I’m looking at you coolant pipes), there are lots of these driving around with 150k to 200k on the clock. Even better, they make a fantastic tow car (7700 lbs of towing capacity) and with the right tires are nearly unstoppable in the winter. This particular Cayenne Turbo looks to be well cared for with a fantastic color combination.

3. 1998 Porsche 993 C4S For Sale
What’s going on with pricing on low mileage 993 C4S models? Is it just me, or is pricing all over the place? This particular example comes by way of FLATSIXES.com sponsor Willhoit Enterprises. Anyone that knows Michael knows he isn’t bashful with his pricing. On the other hand, most of his cars are in exceptional condition, with crazy low-mileage (we bought our 993 C4S from Michael almost 8-years ago). This particular example has just 37k and change on the odometer. It’s well optioned (including Litronic headlights) and is wearing one of the more popular color combos of Arctic Silver over black.

4. 1991 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet For Sale
With prices rising on just about every Porsche model there is, this 944 S2 Cabriolet looks like it might be a great buy! The seller is looking for $12k but is open to offers. It seems to be an honest listing highlighting the good, the bad and the ugly (of which there doesn’t seem to be much). You’ll definitely want to perform a PPI (even the seller suggests your do so) but assuming nothing major, I wouldn’t hesitate to dive right into this before pricing goes up as we get closer to the summer.

5. 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo For Sale
It’s unclear to me if this 930 Turbo is a project car or a driver. The 2nd owner and seller suggests that this 930 is in need of restoration. However, he doesn’t go into any specifics, only saying that the winning bidder will receive $10,000 in restoration parts (with no mention of what those parts may be). He does say that the Porsche runs well, is fast and wears its original paint and features its original interior. With 90,000 miles on the clock, I’m not sure its a great candidate for “restoration” but I’m a fan of originality and patina anyway. As of publication there are four (4) days left on the auction and bidding is quite active. Not quite sure where this one will land, but it’s fun to watch and see.
