We first showed you a Porsche 356 Car-BQ a number of years ago, we had just found it for sale on ebay. At the time, despite a high bid of $7100, that 356 BBQ didn’t sell. Today, we found the video below from Extreme Grillers. In it, we meet Steven Stacey, a collector of Porsche 356s. He goes on to explain how he was looking for a rear clip for a 356 to use in a restoration project. When it arrived, he realized, “hey, [lets] take this car apart and turn it into a BBQ pit”. Seems like a rational and logical thought…
What’s unclear is if this is the same 356 BBQ from the ebay listing, or a recreation. Portions of it look exactly the same: the side window set-up, the controllers, the table and trailer, etc. However, what’s different is the stainless steel surround on the grill, the cooler looks updated and I don’t see the TV in the front. Either way, we still say the best thing that could happen to this is for PCNA to pick it up and use it at various events. Porsche, are you listening???
