At this point we’ve seen so many “gold plated” Porsches that we’re losing count. We’ve seen them covered in tweed, made from wood “murdered out“, even a chocolate covered Porsche. However, this Porsche Boxster S marks the first time we’ve seen a Porsche wrapped in what appears to be copper and covered in crystals.
The original source for this story found this “blinged” out gem while walking through their neighborhood in Beijing, China.
Upon closer inspection the author and photographer noticed the crystals liberally applied.
Apparently the owner spared no expense and even covered the wheels.
I wonder if the crystals help with aero? Imagine driving behind this with the light coming off all those stones.
While I’m not a fan of the crystals, the wrap appears to be well done (we’re still assuming it’s a wrap) and reflects enough light to blind anyone who tries to get too close. I wonder why we don’t see more of these here in the states? 🙂
