So far we’ve seen Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) and the Porsche Sport Chrono package. To round out the various chassis control systems let’s take a closer look at Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control. Porsche explains PDCC as an active anti-roll system that suppresses lateral body movement during cornering. In addition, it minimizes the lateral instability of the vehicle on uneven ground. How do they do it? With the aid of hydraulic stabilizing actuators in the form of cylinders designed to optimize camber. Lateral roll is counteracted by forces generated at each individual wheel, based on steering angle and lateral acceleration. These “forces” improve performance, increase ride comfort and optimize turn-in. In the simplest of terms, with PDCC, your Porsche’s tires and vehicle hold the road better and you can steer through corners faster and easier.
