We see a lot of “concept” cars here at FLATSIXES.com. Some are more worthy than others. Recent “worthy” examples that come to mind include the 908-04, this 911 by way of Bugatti, the Cayvan and the 913.
introducing the 906/917 Porsche Concept from Alexander Imnadaze
Today, a reader sent us yet another concept. This time it’s by well known designer Alexander Imnadaze. A quick look through his work shows designs for Alfa Romeo, Ford, Bertone, Bugatti and Maserati. And, while the 906/917 isn’t his first Porsche concept, it is the first that he’s completely fleshed out, skinned and finished.
Interestingly, unlike some of the other concepts we’ve seen, that can at times appear more like resto-mods, Imnadaze’s 906/17 envisions a race car for the future. Porsches past design cues are definitely present in the shape, profile and air scoop, but we can glimpse the future, too.
Personally, I’m a big fan of the side profile and can almost hear the engine screaming as it enters the chicane in the picture below.
