An out-of-control, speeding Porsche crashed into a parked car at a rest area in Greece yesterday. Tragically, four people were killed in the accident including a 33-year old mother, her 3-year old child and the driver and passenger of the Porsche.
According to the stories we read, a family of 3 had pulled their Honda Civic into a rest area on a highway outside of Athens. The 41-year old father left the vehicle to use the rest area’s facilities while his wife and child remained in the car. Shortly after, an out-of-control Porsche slides sideways into the rest area at a phenomenal rate of speed smashing into the rear of the Civic and the facilities. The force of the impact was so great that both cars exploded almost instantly. The entire incident was caught on security camera.
WARNING: The video below is hard to watch!
The now deceased driver of the Porsche is alleged to be the 24-year old son of a well known Greek businessman. Allegedly, he and his friend were renting the car at the time of the accident. Reports we’ve read said the Porsche’s passenger, who has yet to be identified, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time and was ejected from the vehicle.
Perhaps the most horrifying part of the video is the father’s reaction upon hearing the accident and running outside to see the aftermath.
