Porsche Cars Canada has been on a tear for the last five years in terms of sales. In fact, as of December 2016 they had shown more than 60 months of consecutive growth, selling nearly 1,000 911s and more than 7,000 Porsches in total. As the number of Porsches in Canada has increased, so have the opportunities for those Porsche owners. Earlier this week it was announced that Porsche Sport Driving School (PSDS) programs will be offered within Canada for the first time starting this spring.
“Porsche Sport Driving School is yet another Porsche Driving Experience that we are excited to be able to offer to our customers and fans within Canada and joins the likes of our popular Camp4 Canada and Performance Tour events,” said Alexander Pollich, President & CEO, Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. “To be able to provide enthusiastic drivers a platform where they can finely hone their driving skills, all while putting a selection of our sports car offerings through their paces, will invigorate Porsche passion as well as provide a foundation for attendees to continue the program right up to a full racing licence.”
Purpose of the Porsche Sports Driving School
The PSDS program has one focus: to help you safely achieve individual goals, in everyday driving and on the racetrack. Opportunities to increase driving safety while expanding driving skill are offered through varying levels of instruction: Precision, Performance, Master, Master RS, and Master RSR PSDS.
Beginning in May, the first courses (Precision only to start) will take place at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, located in Bowmanville, ON. The two-day training program costs $2,495 per person (pricing does not include lodging, but Porsche says they have a “hotel partner” in the area to provide preferred rates for out of town guests ).
