Earlier today Porsche AG reported a 16% increase in July sales as compared to the same month of the previous year. While the US only realized a 1% increase in same period sales (see Porsche Cars North America July 2012 Sales Figures), Europe saw a 25% gain with Asia-Pacific not too far behind at 17% growth.
According to member of the Porsche AG Executive Board Bernhard Mair,“Porsche continued on its successful sales course in July with a strong gain in deliveries. We are confident that we will attain solid global growth figures over the rest of this year as well, despite economic uncertainty in Europe.”
The numbers above only show total units by country, but Porsche highlighted the success of the new Boxster with 1235 units sold (a 58% increase from last year) and the new 911 at 2,079 units for a 25% increase, in their press release.
