Porsche’s Formula E program returns to the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit on 17–18 May for the Berlin E-Prix, the only event that has featured in every championship season since 2015. The team enters its home race leading the teams’ standings by 10 points and sitting three points behind Nissan in the manufacturers’ table. In the drivers’ championship, Pascal Wehrlein is second and António Félix da Costa is third; both remain in contention with four races left.
Berlin poses distinctive technical demands. The 2.34-mile course is laid on concrete slabs of varying roughness, forcing crews to balance grip and tire longevity. A mandatory 34-second pit stop will return this weekend, adding 3.85 kWh of energy at 600 kW through the championship’s common rapid-charging system.
Porsche’s recent form at Tempelhof is strong. Da Costa delivered the team’s first Berlin victory in 2024 and has three wins from 19 starts, while André Lotterer secured second place during the pandemic-affected 2020 finale. Wehrlein has twice finished in the top five but is still seeking a first Berlin podium.

After Sunday’s race, Porsche will field Ayhancan Güven, a Turkish DTM winner, and 16-year-old German driver Elia Weiss in the official rookie test. Both will use the current 99X Electric race car, providing data for next season’s development.
Team principal Florian Modlinger identified tire management and setup as key preparation items, noting that simulator work has focused on the track’s concrete surface. Wehrlein and da Costa have called the home event a highlight, expecting significant support from employees and local fans.
