Built from 1965 to 1969 the Porsche 912 was a less expensive, four (4) cylindered alternative to the new six cylinder Porsche 911. A total of 34,959 Porsche 912s (including the 1976 912E) were produced. The Porsche 912 offered performance features such as four-wheel disc brakes, four-wheel independent suspension with torsion bars, rack and pinion steering, racing pattern 5 speed transmission, and Recaro seats. Options included three-point seatbelts, air conditioning, halogen fog lights, rear window wiper, and electric sunroof. Probably the most rare of the 912s are the Sunroof coupes (with less than 100 know to exist today.)
