Last month we introduced you to Nic Hunziker's new "Art Car" project where he'll be bartering art in order to build what he calls "the missing link between the 996.1 GT3 and the 996.2 GT3 RS" a 1999 GT3R Strassenversion. If you're not yet familiar with the project you can check out our original post or head over to the project's website for even more detail.
When we last left you, Nic and FLATSIXES.com contributor Brett Sloan were on their way to Nova Scotia to pick-up the donor car for this project, a 996 GT3 acquired through a lot of searching and the liberal use of original artwork to sweeten the deal. After a few technical delays, and some paperwork snafus, Nic and Brett made it to Canada and have been driving the GT3 cross-country back to LA. They've been chronicling that trip on Nic's blog including a post for Days 1 & 2 and another for Days 3 & 4.
We Have Days 5 & 6 For You
After spending the morning of Day 4 at VIR, Nic and Brett made it to Cleveland that night. Days 5 & 6 were spent with a visit to Chuck Stoddard's amazing Porsche collection and then the continued their drive across country to Nebraska. Fortunately, Brett's been documenting the trip through his camera lens and Nic was kind enough to provide some captions.
As I'm finishing this post, Nic and Brett are arriving in Colorado and we'll both have more updates for you in the days to come.
