As prices for classic Porsches continue to rise, it seems like there are fewer and fewer people driving their cars in the winter. However, we still hear from a few brave souls who refuse to give in to the weather and drive their Porsches year-round despite the corrosive qualities of salt and sand. This video is for you. It’s also for those of you who like to detail your own cars as the video give a great overview of how to get the grime and dirt from road and track use out of your wheel wells. If you’ve never done this before, it will probably take a bit more work. Once you complete the process the first time, it will be easier each successive year.
Personally, if I were doing this to my 911, I would probably mask off a bit more than Larry did (especially the valve covers, etc.) as I’m pretty there would be some overspray given my lack of experience.
