The Collier Collection, in conjunction with Stanford’s The Revs Institute, always bring some interesting machinery to Monterey, and they always have Gunnar Racing there to help them prepare the cars with mega-talent Gunnar Jeannette on hand to drive. This year is no different, as they have brought out a pair of lovely Porsche-powered racers in the form of a 908-2 “Flunder”, and an Elva Mk VII with a Carrera 4-cam engine. Gunnar and the two Porsches (as well as a Fiat Abarth they are also campaigning) were spotted testing at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) ahead of the Monterey Motorsport Reunion, which kicks off in just over a week.
We’ll be spending some time with these Porsches in the coming weeks, so we’ll have a few of our own up-close and personal photos with these cars, but for the time being, here is a quick video from The Revs Institute of Gunnar doing a flyby in the 908, and a handful of photos of each car from the PBIR test. What do you want to know about these cars? Do you have any questions for Gunnar that we could ask him? post yours in the comments below.
