In order to understand a lot of what Patrick explains in the video below you have to have a rudimentary understanding of certain motorsport terms. If you don’t know what Patrick means by “the line”, “apex”, “turn-in”, etc. then take a minute to read our Motorsports 101 primer, then come back. For those of you already familiar with these terms, watch as Patrick explains to Jack and Elvin the fastest way through corners by following the proper line and how to identify it. While his examples are specific to the track at Weissach, the corner types are found everywhere and can translate to any track in the world.
Unfortunately, as much as the video is interesting to watch, and novices can learn something from it, it’s not as informative as it could be. For the life of me, I can’t understand why Porsche is pushing the marketing of a car, the 911R, that’s already sold out.
