I did my first D. E. track day 15 years ago. I pulled into the tech inspection area at Lime Rock Park’s A Paddock feeling quite confident and ready to go. My headlights were taped off and my tire pressures set. The tech inspector walked around my car, then looked inside and made a weird face. He pointed to my back seat … where my daughter’s booster seat was still strapped tightly in place.
While you might not be as sleep deprived and brain-dead as I was that day, there is a lot of basic information you need to know before hitting the track. Fortunately, Larry Kosilla of AMMO and Spencer Cox of Speedsport Tuning have put together a great short video with tips on stuff you need to know—and do—before your next track day. Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned pro, there is some great information in the video above.
