Like a suit or a watch, a beautiful car is a vehicle for personal expression, and as such, it ought to be customized to best demonstrate the owner’s style. One of the latest offerings from Porsche Manufaktur is their Leather Interior Exclusive Manufaktur option—another highlight in a range which comprises roughly 700 options.
“Personalization plays an important role at Porsche,” says Alexander Fabig, Vice President Individualization and Classic at Porsche AG. “Around 90 percent of all 911 models are customized to order for customers, and 25% of all cars in this series delivered worldwide go through our Exclusive Manufaktur.”
The Leather Interior Exclusive Manufaktur includes quilted seat center panels at the front and rear, quilted door panels, as well as other extensive leather trim from the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur portfolio. Currently, the line includes four color combinations with more to follow in the coming month.
The two-tone interior is now available in Bordeaux Red/Crayon, Black/Slate Grey, Slate Grey/Iceland Green, and finally Graphite Blue/Mojave Beige. Tasteful color pairings grab the eye, but it’s the subtle touches which bring the package together and scream quality. Even the decorative seams and the cross stitching on the steering wheel are done in the respective contrasting color! Truly, the little details make the difference.
Other carefully designed details include the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur embossing on the cover of the stowage compartment in the center console, the embossed Porsche Crest on the head restraints, as well as the Race-Tex seat belt outlet trims in the Coupé models. For all those people who’ve criticized the Porsche 911’s interior for being too understated or too restrained, this selection should convince them otherwise.
Though a 911’s cabin might lack the ornate quilting of a Lamborghini’s or the space-age aesthetic of a McLaren’s, there’s no question these Exclusive Manufaktur touches make the 992’s interior, already quite different by 911 standards, something quite special.
