We’ve been compiling the best Porsche models on eBay for almost a year now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. There is some great new stuff every two weeks, so check back often. We’ve tracked down five more exciting Porsches for you nice people to purchase today, including a 911 S/T Tribute, a 914 race car, a gorgeous Fjord Green 356 Cabriolet, an Andial powered 993, and a special anniversary 996. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.
1. 1974 Porsche 914 Racing Car For Sale
If you’re looking for a race car for yourself, there’s no better place to start than with someone else’s failed project. This car has a lot going for it, primarily that it’s cheap. This is a rolling chassis that can be gussied up for little money outlay, with a starting price of only two grand. There’s an old saying that goes “Never take a car to the track that you can’t afford to wad into a ball and walk away from”, and for two grand, even I could almost afford to walk away from that without too much financial burden. It is true that this car does not have a drivetrain, but that just makes it a blank canvas onto which you can paint your masterpiece. Do you want big power from a 993 3.6? You can do that. Do you want a high strung 2.0 911S engine? You can do that, too. Pick your poison.

2. Fjord Green Porsche 356 Convertible D For Sale
The Convertible D is one of the most sought after 356s out there. It has a low raked windshield like the speedster (okay a little taller than the speedster), but it maintains some creature comforts, like glass side windows instead of curtains. They were only built in 1959, and thus are quite rare and desirable. Mix in the fact that this one is painted in a gorgeous shade called “Fjord Green”, and you’ve got yourself a winner. This car was recently fully restored by The Car Collection, and they appear to have done a pretty good job of it. Check it out for yourself if you’re interested, it could be yours for only a hundred and eighty grand.

3. Andial 1998 Porsche 993 Carrera 2S For Sale (Again)
It isn’t often that we see repeat offenders here in our eBay listings, but this one is just so cool that I had to show it to you again (because none of you bought it last time!). Starting life as a 993 Carrera 2S in Glacier White over Cashmere, which is one of the most gorgeous combos, in my humble opinion. Shortly after purchase, the car was taken to ANDIAL in SoCal for a complete overhaul to make it better. The car was then fitted with a whole lot of 993 Turbo S bits, including a full set of yellow calipers and floating brake rotors, and “ROW” M030 sport suspension. The transmission was cracked and a Quaife limited slip differential was added, as well as revised gearing to compensate for the additional power. Said additional power was given in the form of a 3.8 liter conversion using 993 RS 3.8 components sourced directly from Porsche motorsport. The 3.8 liter engine should produce just above 300 horsepower, and would make for an excellent engine in a two-wheel drive 993. This is just a really cool piece of history, and it’s probably exactly how I would build a 993, given the choice (and a limitation-free budget).

4. 2004 Porsche 911 40th Anniversary Edition For Sale
Only 1963 of these beauties were built in 2004 to commemorate the 911’s long and storied life as the world’s favorite sports car, and each of them were trimmed in GT Silver Metallic over black. This is a narrow body two-wheel-drive car with a Turbo front bumper, and the 345 horsepower ‘powerkit’ engine as standard. The anniversary model run also had an exclusive bright chrome set of the MY05-style wheel, which are unfortunately not included in the sale of this car. This car also appears to have had its bumper grilles replaced at some point, as they are supposed to also be painted in GT Silver. That said, this car was over a hundred grand when it was new just a decade ago, and can now be sitting in your garage for less than a quarter of that. That’s not a bad deal in my eyes. This is a rare and fun and unique car.

5. 1976 Porsche 911 R S/T Style Backdate Tribute Car For Sale
In an interesting build, this car has been transformed from a shorthood midyear car that nobody really cared about until recently into a gorgeous R-gruppe style hot rod car with a fuel injected 3.2 liter from a 1984 Carrera hanging out back. All of the work puts the car at only 2,250 pounds with a pretty respectable 231 horsepower, providing a pretty favorable power-to-weight. Toss in some wide sticky tires, a few choice suspension modifications, and uprated brakes from a 964, and this car should be a pretty good little canyon carver. The reserve hasn’t been met yet, but whatever it is should be a pretty fair price for a car that provides this much fun. It probably wouldn’t take too much cajoling to get an R Gruppe membership with a car like this, either. It’s nicely done, and a proper fun 911.
