We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for over two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. This week’s mix has the last of the flat-six Caymans, a one-owner 914 survivor, a properly priced GT2 RS, the lowest mileage ’73 911 we’ve seen yet and a very nice resto-mod worth a second look. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1973 Porsche 911E For Sale
I’m not sure what to think of this particular Porsche. On one hand, the seller claims it only has 56 miles on it. On the other, it’s undergone a complete and thorough restoration (what appears to be a very good one). What I can’t figure out is if this 911 truly only has 56 miles on it, why did it need the restoration? Especially in today’s market where originality and patina seems to be more highly valued than concours restorations. Either way, if the mileage is real, this has to be one of the lowest mileage 1973 911s in existence. There are lots of people watching this auction and a fairly large asking price so it will be interesting to see what happens.

2. 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS For Sale
When I first saw this GT2 RS I thought it might be a bit overpriced. However, Gooding just sold one for $561k and RM Sotheby’s sold theirs for $450k. The asking price on this example falls squarely in the middle and they seem willing to take an offer. #327 of only 500 made this is a sharp example in Carrera White with black accents.

3. 2014 Porsche Cayman S For Sale
With the introduction of the 718 Cayman we’ve forever lost the flat-six in all but the most hardcore versions. So, will earlier pre-718 flat-six Caymans start to appreciate in value? This seller sure thinks so. While his asking price is quite reasonable compared to others we’ve seen for sale, he positioned himself well to wait for the right buyer. We think he’ll find them as this is a nice example with a great color combination, an excellent option list, a CPO from Porsche and reasonable expectations.

4. 1974 Porsche 914 2.0 For Sale
This is a one-owner example from Georgia. According to the seller this 914 has 70,500 original miles on it and is wearing a respray of its original color, Delphi Green. While the 914 does have some rust it appears to be minimal and in spots that while not easy, can be repaired (jack point, rear floor pan). Interestingly, this 914 is being sold without reserve and bidding is quite low at this point. I expect that will change soon enough. If this 914 is what it appears to be, I expect pricing should rise well into the teens by the time bidding ends. We’ll have to wait and see.

5. 1981 Porsche 911 RS Tribute For Sale
What started as a clean 1981 911 SC has now been updated and modified into a classic pre’73 resto-mod. According to the seller this 911 runs very strong, has a solid transmission and handles well. Bidding currently sits just under $49k and the reserve hasn’t been met. Depending on how high the reserve is, this could be a very good buy for someone. The attention to detail on the interior and engine compartment show this to be a quality build and we really like the color combination.
