The video below first crossed our desk almost two weeks ago. After watching it in horror we concocted all sorts of stories to try to explain how this possibly could have happened. However, because we didn’t know if the driver had survived, or any of the circumstances around the accident, we decided not to post it. Well, a few days ago we learned the full story and the truth, it turns out, is stranger than any fiction we could have come up with.
According to the story we read, cocaine dealer Zhen Yin passed out at the wheel of his new Cayenne in China’s Jiangxi Province on his way to see a “contact”. After sampling a bit too much of his own product he lost control of the Cayenne and rammed into the back of the truck he was following. At this point, things went from bad to worse.
Truck drive Xiong Feng couldn’t figure out why other cars and drivers were honking at him. He said: “The first I became aware of anything was when I heard some loud honking beside me. He had his window down and was shouting something but I couldn’t hear him and then he started pointing at the back of my truck. But I thought he was telling me to speed up, so I did. Eventually though I pulled over and it was only then that I saw the car stuck on the back.” This was at least 6 miles later!
By now, the police were on scene and discovered that the driver, who was remarkably still alive, was a wanted criminal. Making matters worse, the cargo area of the Porsche was filled with cocaine. A police spokesman was quoted as saying, “Passing out on coke in a Porsche full of drugs should see him behind bars for a while.”
Actually, it’s worse, much worse. China has little tolerance for illegal drugs and Zhen is now said to face the death penalty for possession of the cocaine.
