Following on from a successful Luft5 back in April, the event is finally heading outside of the boundaries of this country. People flew in to the Southern California show from 48 states, six Canadian provinces, and 22 countries, proving that the show has serious international appeal. Everyone loves aircooled Porsches, no matter where they call home. After five successful shows in the greater Los Angeles area, Luft England is a go.
As the show’s press release indicates, the “first stop on this new exploration will be July 29, 2018 as we pop up Luftgekühlt in Central England”. Is this is thinly veiled indication that the show will continue to have additional stops after England? There have been rumors of a Japanese show, and it would only make sense to bring this all back to the German Fatherland. At the moment these are only rumors, but it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to assume there will be more events like this one in the near future.
The England show is intended to be a pop-up event, more in the spirit of Luft2. Space will be limited, and tickets will likely sell out quickly, so make sure you’re on their email list to get your tickets. Ticket details and event venue information will be released on Tuesday, July 3rd, so keep your e-mail server open and ready to receive. This show is such a large force in the Porsche industry right now, and it will be incredible to see how they continue to one-up their own displays. If you reside in Great Britain, perhaps you should be on the lookout for more information, it’ll be well worth the drive. I drove over 1000 miles round-trip to get to the last Luft in Torrance, and it was well worth it.
