The Porsche Taycan range continues to grow with the addition of the Cross Turismo. Now it appears the lineup is about to grow again with evidence of a GTS variant coming for the sedan. That’s not all, it appears the Taycan GTS wagon will be a Sport Turismo instead of a Cross Turismo according to InsideEVs, citing a since-deleted post on TaycanForum. Luckily, InsideEVs got a screenshot before the post got taken down. You can see that the Taycan GTS and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo at the very bottom of the list on their site with both marked as new additions.
As in other Porsche models, the Taycan GTS variants should slot between the 4S and Turbo flavors. That means expect more power out so that it slots neatly between the Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo. Porsche could add more standard features on the GTS to further distinguish it from the 4S. The sedan might get the larger 93.4-kWh battery as standard instead of the smaller 79.2-kWh unit
Since the wagon has been branded the Sport Turismo for the GTS variant, expect this long-roofed Taycan to be more like the Panamera Sport Turismo. That means it won’t have the slightly raised suspension found in the Taycan Cross Turismo. The Taycan GTS Sport Turismo should be more like the sedan, which could give it better handling than the Taycan Cross Turismo
Expect more go-fast goodies to come standard with the Porsche Taycan GTS. That should include more suspension tweaks, stickier tires, and retuned steering to further sharpen its already fantastic road manners. The Porsche Taycan GTS should arrive next year in both flavors. Pricing should also split the difference between the 4S and Turbo.
