Mr. Regular doesn’t like the 944S. No sir, he does not like it one bit. As a 944S owner this makes me a bit sad. The line in the title is actually by the show’s co-writer, The Roman, and for the full depth of both of their critiques you’ll need to watch the video. Mr. Regular has reviewed Porsches before, giving lackluster reviews to the Cayman and the 928 S4. This 944S review isn’t just lackluster though, it’s a scathing indictment of a GT car Mr. Regular sees as overweight, underpowered and unwilling to rev.
Maybe Mr. Regular just isn’t a Porsche guy- to date the Cayman, 928, and 944S are the only Porsches he has driven, and the latter two were starting to show their age. Maybe putting this iconoclastic car reviewer behind the wheel of an aircooled 911 will change his mind, but then maybe the occasionally baffling eccentricities of Porsches are not for everyone. If you’re not familiar with Mr. Regular’s reviews, be prepared he’s a bit eccentric and quite candid.
