Porsche’s LA Experience Center has a lot to offer. Driving schools, fine dining, and a collection of historic Porsches all reside on the grounds. Now, Porsche owners can take delivery of their cars on site, complete with a VIP experience, including a driving session, vehicle orientation, and a fine meal at Restaurant 917. A similar experience has been available at the Atlanta Experience Center since 2016.
Brand involvement is very important to Porsche. According to PCNA President and CEO Klaus Zellmer, “our brand embassies in Atlanta and L.A. are real, physical places where people can drive and feel the brand.” California in particular is an important market for Porsche. Roughly one quarter of all Porsche sports cars sold in the United States are sold in California. Californians who purchase a new Porsche now have the opportunity to experience a new Porsche on the Experience Center’s tracks.
What’s Included?
The delivery experience will come in several phases, all rather than different than those featured on Ellen DeGenerres’ show. The new owner will be given a 90-minute session on the driver development track in a model which matches their newly purchased Porsche, an in-depth vehicle orientation, and a lunch for two at Restaurant 917. Since the program’s inception at the Atlanta facility in 2016, more than 500 cars have been delivered at US Porsche Experience Centers.
The first Porsche delivered at the LA Experience center, a 911 Turbo S, was picked up last week. Going forward, deliveries will occur once-a-day from Tuesday through Friday. Deliveries will be limited to once daily to ensure exclusivity for the purchasers.
No additional costs, beyond the normal $385-$875 fee for the 90-minute driving session, are associated with Experience Center delivery.
