Porsche has updated its product information page for the 2022 992-generation GT3 to include pricing information. After a $1,350 destination and delivery charge, the track-focused GT3 starts at $162,450 in the United States.
That is the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, meaning that some dealerships are free to—- and will — charge over sticker for the hotly anticipated, naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat six. At least pricing is the same for the manual transmission or the PDK-equipped models.
Some additional pricing information to note is the fixed full bucket seats are $5,900. The Shark Blue color on most of the press photography is $4,220. Carbon ceramic brakes with the optional black calipers is an eye-watering $10,110. A front axle lift, likely a must for many of you, is $3,670.
Really though, can you place a price in 2021 on a 9,000 rpm, NA flat six? With 502 horsepower and a manufacturer claimed 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds, the 2022 922 GT3 is becoming an increasingly rare driving experience as the competition embraces hybrids and electric powertrains. We applaud the brand for continuing to make NA power with a proper manual transmission.
