Did you know Porsche offered a manual transmission in the Panamera luxury sedan? No? Well that’s probably because it was only available in Europe, and only 146 of them were ever built. As Porsches go, 146 of something is incredibly rare. Is this a collector-grade car just because of the transmission? I don’t really think it is, because this is a regular normal everyday Porsche, and not a super extreme fun machine. Nobody really collects Panameras, despite how frickin’ cool it is to have a stick in a big brown-painted sedan. I’d love to buy this and import it to the U.S. but it’s totally illegal to drive for another 13 years.
If you really want to get granular, this car is one of just 96 ever built, as 50 of the manual-equipped Panameras were V6 models, and this one is the more powerful grunty V8 Panamera S. The only thing that would make this better would be if it were a GTS, but sadly no GTS manuals were ever built. God, I wish.
This car is currently listed by L’art De L’automobile in Paris without a price. If you’re so inclined, you can visit the showroom by appointment to check out the car and put down an offer. Panameras didn’t really hold their values over the last 12 years, so a similarly equipped Panamera S is probably only worth about $40,000 today. Of course there will probably a slight premium for the manual transmission and three pedals, so maybe you could get this nice low-kilometer example for around fifty grand. You never know until you call.
Here’s what L’art De L’automobile has to say about the listing:

Now an essential model in the range, the Panamera is a luxury car capable of transporting four or five people in the greatest comfort. In its first phase, the Porsche Panamera S is equipped with an atmospheric 4.8L V8 developing 400 horsepower, reaching 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds for a maximum speed set at 285 km / h. The car weighs 1770 kg empty and is 4.97 m long.
A manual transmission version of the Porsche Panamera was offered in the catalog between April 2009 and April 2013, only on the first phase. The 6-speed gearbox truly transforms the driving experience of this luxurious sedan, giving it a more lively and sporty character. In total, only 146 copies of the Panamera will be equipped, 50 in V6 and 96 in V8, including our superb example. It is a successful variation, and very popular with collectors.
The car is painted in the beautiful Topaz Brown metallic color, with an all-black leather interior. It has an impressive list of options, including parking aids, sports steering wheel, nice rims, sound system Plus, active suspensions, and this Panamera comes in superb condition. Having benefited from a very major overhaul in the network during the summer of 2020, it is in perfect working order, is equipped with 4 new tires and has traveled less than 50,000 kilometers. In a very elegant configuration, this extremely rare Panamera S in a manual gearbox represents a rare opportunity for any discerning enthusiast.
