Jason Connor, a friend of mine, took a trip to the hills near Santa Cruz to drive one of the most insanely fast Porsches ever built. The Sharkwerks 911 GT2 Phase One is a nearly-800-horsepower car that will blow your mind wide open with how fast it is. The GT2 has always been revered as a bit of a scary ride, with big power and only two driven wheels. The mad scientists at SharkWerks have tossed in a big leap in power, and a bit of fettle with the suspension to handle it. With almost 10-years of advancements made in Ultra High Performance tire technology, the car now features a much more docile driving manner, but is also orders of magnitude faster.
We’ve had a chance to log a few miles behind the wheel of the now-famous Magnus-design sister car to this one, and our feelings were very similar to what Jason says here. It’s a car that conspires to bend your concept of reality. It’s a car that gives you cause to sell some vital organs. It’s a car that will make you curse until you’re blue in the face, and then laugh maniacally for the next week after you give back the keys.
