There have been various reports all morning of some type of explosion on the Porsche Production line in Germany. Automotive News is now confirming that the explosion happened at Porsche’s spray-painting facility in Zuffenhausen.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities and only two minor injuries to workers on the line. However, it is being reported that due to the explosion and the resulting water damage from the automatic sprinklers production will be delayed by as long as three day (affecting up to 480 911s in production).
At this point, the cause of the explosion is unknown.
