Riding the Depreciation Curve: When to buy a used 911.
I will admit to being a bit out of my depth with newer Porsche values. I'm deeply involved with classic cars, so depreciation in modern cars simply doesn't come up for me often. Thankfully the folks at JP&Co. released a handy video charting the depreciation of water-cooled 911 Carreras. The video covers the relationship between age, mileage, …

We see a lot of "concept" cars here at FLATSIXES.com. Some are more worthy than others. Recent "worthy" examples that come to mind include the 908-04, this 911 by way of Bugatti, the Cayvan and the 913. introducing the 906/917 Porsche Concept from Alexander Imnadaze Today, a reader sent us yet another concept. Update 10/9/2017: On the most recent episode of "Jay Leno's Garage", West Coast Customs paid a visit and went over this build in even more detail. Turns out it started life as a Cayman... West Coast Customs (WCC) is one of those shops that creates polarizing designs, people tend to love or hate them. Me, I'm borderline. Other than the RWB …

Barn find cars always break my heart a little, and I say this as someone who had one. My 356 lived in a barn for almost as long as this one. Unlike this car's long-term owner, who believed the patina would deter thieves, my car simply suffered at the hands Northeastern weather and salt. Like the car below, which was originally owned by LA disc …

It's pretty much de rigueur these days to document the build of a new RAUH-Welt Begriff Porsche. When Akira Nakia-san comes to town, the cameras come out in abundance. As the number of Porsches he's touched continues to grow, so does the library of build documentaries. However, not all documentaries are created equal. Chris Petruccio and …
Continue to the full articleHow Much Does It Really Cost To Maintain An Older Porsche Boxster
Older Boxsters are becoming more and more affordable from an acquisition standpoint. Good examples can easily be found in the $10 to $12k range. For those with patience, and a little luck, decent cars can still be had south of $10k. However, the question then becomes, just because you can afford to buy it, can you afford to maintain it? We're …

Most of you know Larry of AMMO NYC as the go-to-guy for detailing hi-end sports cars. More importantly, for all of us, Larry's also a HUGE Porsche fan. His personal car is a 964 C4 and through his work and experience has become quite knowledgeable about our favorite marque. As the person that cares for the best and the rarest Porsches in the …

Comparing a 911 Turbo S to a 718 Boxster S might not seem to make sense on the face of it. I mean we're talking 580 hp as compared to 350 hp and nearly a $120k in price difference. However, it's those exact details that make this comparison so intriguing. Normally, under ideal conditions, the type of conditions Porsche and most automotive …

... and Chris Harris vs. Tiff Needell. These two have worked together before, and videos like this make us wish they did more often. The differences between the Ferrari and Porsche in this video are nearly as great as the differences between Harris and Needell. Where Chris got his start as a journalist who worked his way into racing, while Tiff's …
