Terry Gilliam’s “Patsy” said just one line in all of “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” while looking at a distant Camelot. That line continually comes to mind while watching this video, as it is extremely difficult to believe that what I am seeing is “only a model.” This wonderfully rendered 964 Turbo was rendered by Djordje Ilic, and it’s beauty is more than just skin-deep. From the spoiler to the carpets, this render is a wonderful creation.
As video games like Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo (the latter of which is tragically free of Porsches) get ever more realistic, it’s easy to become complacent about the potential of digital renders. This amazingly life-like render is a sign of just how far we can still go.
